Less than an hour and a half away in either direction is Disney World, Universal Studios, Legoland, Daytona International Speedway, Kennedy Space Center, and Port Canaveral!

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Melbourne, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Melbourne Owners
Tara Weigner & Meili Viera Porter
Tara has always had a passion for the arts and has taught various types of classes out of her home. She once ran an Etsy shop and participated in countless craft shows through the years. In between working, being a wife, raising kids, and crafting on the side, she also volunteers in her local art council as a voice to keep the arts alive in the city! She's been married to her husband David for 15 years. His career allowed them an opportunity to move across the country in various places to live. David has recently discovered a new love for fly fishing, so if he isn't in his truck working, he's up a creek somewhere! Tara has been a corporate buyer for over 20 years in-between having three children. Her oldest son is grown and lives in California. Her daughter is a competitive soccer player and her youngest son loves to fish. Their family also has 2 dogs and a hedgehog. Tara discovered Board & Brush while in Ohio and knew immediately she wanted to own a studio herself! The final move for her family was to Melbourne where this dream is finally coming true!
Meili loves God, her husband, her dogs, her family and friends, and Real Estate! She is passionate about helping others and bringing forth her best self and positivity to empower those she loves. She is originally from Cuba and has lived in Brevard County since 2011 and it has become home for her. Meili is a local Real Estate broker and she thrives on guiding her customers to reach new life milestones. Her business partner Tara was first a customer later becoming friends. Tara had come to Meili with her dream of owning a Board & Brush; a few short months later, they were able to come together and make it a reality! Meili says Tara's personality is contagious, she is passionate about building and creating and she believed in her from the very beginning. Through Real Estate they formed a relationship and through the journey of Board & Brush they've built a strong bond! Meili loves bringing people together to celebrate friendships and she is excited to be a part of the Board & Brush family. They are so glad to bring a much needed DIY Studio to Melbourne and provide a unique place to socialize, gather, and build memories with loved ones.
