Meet Board & Brush Jonesboro Owners
Heather and Chris Tarno
Heather has been in the social work field for quite some time working with the adolescents as a drug abuse counselor and a juvenile officer. She also worked hand in hand with the Children’s Division assessing hotlines where drug use/abuse was alleged and placed those children in alternate care if necessary. She worked closely with law enforcement officers covering all of Dunklin County Missouri.
She decided to open a Board & Brush studio because she loves everything DIY that allows her to be creative. Her previous field of employment was not very uplifting and left her feeling like she needed to make a career change. Her husband presented her with the idea of opening a Board & Brush Creative Studio after speaking with one of his friends. After researching B&b it seemed to be a perfect fit! Not only can she do something she loves and share it with others, but she will also be more present in her children’s lives as it allows her schedule to be more flexible.
She and her husband are proud parents to four beautiful children ranging in ages from eleven to twenty-one! The kids that are still school aged participate in every sport imaginable so they are always at a ball field, gym or practice and they wouldn’t have it any other way!
