Board & Brush Mitchell, SD is Now Open!

YAY! Board & Brush Mitchell, SD is officially open for business! Please join us in welcoming owner Jennifer Shepherd to our growing franchise family! We are so excited to see all the DIY magic that’s created in the Mitchell community.

Jennifer has always loved working with her hands and creating. What began as a passion for custom invitations and cards eventually exploded into resin art, tumbler making, and pretty much anything else she could get her hands on! After discovering Board & Brush through a military caregiver group, Jennifer attended several workshops and quickly fell in love with the concept. She knew Board & Brush was a perfect fit for her family after moving to South Dakota, where there was nothing like it, and wanted a creative outlet and a connection to her community.

Jen and her husband were married in 2013 and have two wonderful boys who are out in the world on their own. Her husband served 15 years in the military and was deployed numerous times, with his last deployment ending in being struck by an IED, resulting in a spinal cord injury. Jennifer became his full-time caregiver, which kept her from the workplace and opened the door for her creative mind to take over. Board & Brush will now give her an opportunity to provide for her family and still be a caregiver for her husband. After surviving breast cancer two times, Jennifer is so thrilled to be able to start a new adventure and share her passion for Board & Brush with her community!
