We are thrilled to announce that Board & Brush Big Bear Lake, CA is now open and ready for tons of DIY fun! Please help us give a warm welcome to owners Lexi Amrhein and Zack Gatlin – we are so happy to have them in the Board & Brush family!
Zack and Lexi both grew up in the Big Bear Valley and have a deep love for their hometown. After graduating high school, Lexi completed her undergraduate degree at Cal State Northridge and later went on to finish graduate school at University of San Francisco. Zack completed an apprenticeship program with the carpenters union and went on to lead several large-scale construction projects throughout California. After leaving Big Bear to pursue college and career opportunities, Zack and Lexi found themselves missing the small-town lifestyle and eventually moved home to settle down. It wasn’t long before they started looking for new ways to connect with their community and meet new people! With Zack’s background in carpentry and Lexi’s education and creativity, Board & Brush is a perfect fit!
Zack and Lexi enjoy hiking, kayaking, and camping with their two dogs Ellie and Hank, and volunteering with local nonprofits.
