Board & Brush Boise is conveniently located at the border of Garden City and Boise. Trendy Garden City is known for its cluster of craft breweries like County Line Brewing, Barbarian Brewing and Winery tasting rooms along lively Chinden Boulevard, as well as cool music venues like Visual Arts Collective and Revolution Concert House. The rapids along the Boise River in Boise Whitewater Park are popular with kayakers, paddle-boarders and surfers, while cyclists and joggers use the Boise River Greenbelt trail. Boise is the capital city of Idaho. Whether you are looking to take a stroll, explore the culinary arts or cheering for the Broncos College Football team from Boise State University, you can find plenty of entertainment all year round. Eagle which is a near quaint suburb is known for its golf courses, spas and green spaces like the Eagle Island State Park as well as their amazing restaurants. The Treasure Valley are is a fun place for visitors and residents alike.

Beer and wine are available for purchase in the studio.
Please note, BYOB is not permitted; no one under 21 is allowed in the studio at any time.

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Boise, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Boise Owners
Inis & Matthew Smith
Matt an Alaskan native and Inis a Brazilian native met fifteen years ago in Alaska through a family friend. Long story short, five years later they tied the knot and after ten years of marriage and three different states they settled in Boise, ID to raise their family and build their careers. Matt and Inis have always talked about having their own business to allow them to spend more time together as a family. Matt has always enjoyed working with his hands and was intrigued by woodworking throughout his life. Inis an avid DIY fan, came from a family of entrepreneurs and was always searching for a business that would fit her friendly personality and creativity. When she came upon Board & Brush through a friend, she knew immediately it was a perfect fit for their family. They love what the B&b brand represents and what it offers its customers in terms of a fun rewarding and creative experience. Life is busy at The Smiths household with their two lovely girls and their pup Wesson, but when they can squeeze in the time you will find them camping, traveling, fishing but most importantly enjoying life as a family.
