Meet Board & Brush Fayetteville Owner
Paula Mayo
Paula has lived in the northwest Arkansas area her entire life, Tontitown, Springdale and now she resides in Fayetteville with her fur baby Oliver. Oliver is a spoiled rotten 4 year-old teacup poodle. Paula earned a degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising and Interior Design from Wade College in Dallas, Texas. She also has a cosmetology license and enjoys working with hair. Paula has always had a creative side and an eye for design. This passion led her to her to begin her journey with Board & Brush. Paula has two children. Her daughter Kelcie is twenty-seven, married to Thomas, and together they have one fur baby Bama. Kelcie is a licensed Esthetician. She has worked in daycares since she was in high school and recently has switched her interest to the corporate world. Thomas works in metal fabrication. Paula’s son Brayden, is twenty-four. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2018 with a degree in Business Management and in Supply Chain Management. On his graduation day he was blessed by the birth of his son Paxton Alexander. Brayden works in metal fabrication at his family's business. You will also see him in the studio from time to time also. Paula is a stay at home LaLa for Paxton. After attending a Board & Brush workshop, she immediately fell in love with the idea of owning her own Board & Brush Studio. The flexibility of the Board & Brush workshop allows her to continue to keep her grandchild and use her creative passion.
