Gilbert is located in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Gilbert is currently the most populous incorporated town in the United States. Known well for being one of the best places to live as well as one of the fastest growing, Gilbert has a booming downtown Heritage district. Gilbert’s Heritage district has popular restaurants including Postinos Wine Cafe, The Farmhouse Restaurant, Oreganos, Zinburger, OHSO, Joe’s BBQ, and Dierk’s Whiskey Row. Gilbert is also well known for the beautiful Mormon Temple and the San Tan Shopping District. Just one short mile south of the Heritage Area, North of the Civic Center – the Gilbert Board & Brush is ideally located. Easy access from the US 60 and the San Tan Red Mountain Freeway on Gilbert Road.
Board & Brush Gilbert is a BYOB establishment only after 4 P.M. per Arizona law.

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Gilbert, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Gilbert Owners
Tammy & Donavan Bigelow
Tammy and Donavan Bigelow have been involved in the medical field for more than 30 years, with Tammy alternating between nursing and health coordinating and Donavan working in medical device manufacturing. When the opportunity came around to own Board & Brush Gilbert, they knew having this artistic business would be a great fit for their family and provide them with the creative outlet they craved.
Tammy and Donavan are the proud parents to three children, so having a family-owned business allows them to stay close and provide their kids with the opportunity to build relationships within the family and the community, while also taking on responsibility! Tammy loves to create and help others and she knows that Board & Brush is a perfect place to bring families together and let creativity flourish within the community. At the Gilbert studio, Tammy and Donavan are looking forward to providing a fun outlet with a warm and wonderful atmosphere, allowing people to come together and enjoy life!
