Sherman is in the heart of Grayson County. They are 75 miles north of Downtown Dallas and close to Lake Texoma. It is located near Denison and south of the Oklahoma border. There is a lot to enjoy in the Sherman/Denison area. Locals enjoying fishing and boating in Lake Texoma. When downtown they enjoy a bit of boutique and antique shopping as well as quaint dining. They are located just off the square in Downtown Sherman.
Board & Brush Sherman is a BYOB establishment.

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Sherman, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your wood sign workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Sherman Owner
Amanda Robinson
Amanda is a graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. After spending many years helping the elderly, from working as a Licensed Social Worker in a nursing home, going into elderly/disabled homes, to becoming a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Amanda has been extremely career driven for past 15 years. She now dreams of becoming a successful studio owner and to learn to live and enjoy life.
Cheryl Robinson (Amanda’s mom) is the studio manager for the Sherman Board & Brush. Cheryl has been married to Steve since 1987. In March of 1988, Steve adopted Amanda and her brother Brian. They have a very close family and have enjoyed many adventures over the years! Cheryl spent her career of 36 years at Fisher Controls where she held a number of different positions. She was pregnant with Amanda when she began working with Fisher and now looks forward the day of being able to retire.
Amanda initially saw Board & Brush on Facebook and then had a joint birthday party there in January of 2017. She decided that she HAD to open her own location! Amanda & Cheryl are both DIY’ers and enjoy a variety of wood working projects. Board & Brush channels that love!

Board & Brush Sherman is located two blocks down from the Old Iron Post and two doors down from the new Don’s BBQ.
