What to Expect at a Board & Brush DIY Workshop

Board & Brush opened its doors in 2015 with its first studio in Hartland, Wisconsin. What began as a “Girls’ Night In” gathering in our Founder’s basement quickly turned into a creative way to bring people and communities together over some DIY. Over the past eight years, Board & Brush has grown to 270+ studios nationwide and has been ranked by Entrepreneur Magazine as the “#1 Franchise in the DIY/Paint-and-Sip Category”.

So, what’s all the hype about? If you haven’t had a chance to visit a workshop yet, or maybe it’s just been a while, we’re here to walk you through what you can expect from Board & Brush!

A Warm, Inviting Atmosphere:

We pride ourselves on providing a fun, welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. Board & Brush is truly an escape – a place to come together with old and new friends, get your hands a little dirty, and let your creativity run wild. Our studios welcome everyone with open arms!

Helpful and Patient Instructors:

Never done DIY before? No problem! At Board & Brush, we always say that no experience is necessary! Each of our studios has hired the most wonderful instructors to guide you through every step of the process. They’ll carefully explain every aspect of the workshop and are there to be an extra set of hands when needed. You’ll leave our workshops feeling like a DIY pro!

A Wide-Range of Designs:

When you book a workshop with us, you’ll browse through a gallery of hundreds of projects to choose what you’ll create for your home. We have projects that celebrate holidays, milestones, love, family and more. We also have so many different project types – wall signs of all different sizes and orientations, trays, clocks, coat racks, porch projects, trivets, boxes, crates, doormats and more. There truly is something for everyone – and something to keep you coming back! Be sure to follow our social accounts to be the first to see our monthly new releases!

A Finished Project You’ll Love:

In our workshops, you’ll be in charge of choosing your painting technique, stain, and paint colors. That’s why no two B&b projects ever look identical! And remember, we use stencils to ensure that your project will turn out just how you like it! You’ll always leave our workshops with something you’ll be proud to display.

A Full Paint & Sip Experience:

During our workshops, you’ll be able to sip on your favorite beverages and bop along to the music videos playing on our TVs. We’ve always tried to consider all the little details to make your experience one you won’t soon forget! (Note: some of our studios sell alcoholic beverages while others are BYOB, please check your local studio’s policies before booking).
