We’ve heard more and more lately that the “dopamine décor” trend is taking the interior design world by storm. What does that mean, exactly? Well, it’s just as it sounds…choosing décor that increases your dopamine – AKA, makes you happy.

It can be easy to get lost in a pattern of thinking you need to have the perfect home with the perfect aesthetic that you saw from a post on social media. And while we love stunning interior design and staying up to date on current trends, it’s important not to get lost in what everyone else is doing.

We firmly believe that your house should be a representation of you. Each design decision should be rooted in personal preference – finding pieces that spark joy inside of you. After all, you’re the one who gets to live there every day!

Wide variety of design offerings. At Board & Brush, we pride ourselves on offering a gallery full of designs that speak to a variety of different vibes and aesthetics. Love vintage farmhouse projects? We’ve got them! Want something with a more modern twist? We have that, too! What about designs with personalization? Yes! Or how about designs with no words? We’ve got patterns! At the end of the day, when you visit our workshops, we want you to leave with something that makes you happy. We’re here to help you bring your vision to life.

Pieces that YOU create. We often hear customers say at the end of a workshop, “I can’t believe I made that!”. When you bring a Board & Brush DIY piece into your home, you’re not just bringing home a new décor piece. You’re bringing home something you hand-made. When you look at that project adorning your wall, porch, or coffee table, we want you to feel pride and happiness about what you’ve been able to create!

Paint & Stain colors are up to YOU. When you see our gallery images as you register for an upcoming workshop, we hope you feel inspired by the colors we chose for each design. But, we often get asked, “Do I have to make mine exactly like the photo?”, to which our answer is, “NO!”. When you attend our DIY workshops, you’ll have complete control over what stain colors, painting techniques, and paint colors you choose for your project. Meaning, you’ll have free rein to choose colors that make YOU happy…it’s time to let your creativity run wild!

A memorable experience. Not only does looking at a B&b project displayed in your home evoke a sense of pride, but it’s also a reminder of the wonderful experience you had while making it! Every time you look at your project, you’ll likely be reminded of who you were with when you created it and how much fun you had together. So whether it’s date night, girls’ night out, or “just because”, you truly can’t beat the upbeat atmosphere and the memories made in our sip and paint workshops.
