Aiken, SC is known as one of the best small towns in the South according to Southern Living. It has over 65 miles of trails for both pedestrian and equestrian users at Hitchcock Woods, the largest privately-owned urban forest in the country. Aiken is known for its equestrian communities, which have polo matches and spring and fall steeplechase. Downtown Aiken boasts ‘The Alley’, where many of the best restaurants and bars in town are located. There, you’ll find The Alley Downtown Taproom, Whiskey Alley, Takosushi, and Mellow Mushroom. Aiken is also home to one of the oldest golf courses in the country, Palmetto Golf Club, and is just across the Savannah River to the famous Masters golf course in Augusta, GA. Lastly, Aiken's South Boundary Avenue is considered one of the prettiest streets in the country due to the avenue being lined with Southern Live Oaks.
Board & Brush Aiken is a BYOB establishment, except Sundays per state law.

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Aiken, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Aiken Owner
Aimee Remington
Aimee first experienced Board & Brush while living in Pennsylvania. From that day forward, she was hooked! When Aimee moved back to Aiken, she knew she wanted to open her own Board & Brush studio and share the experience with the Aiken community.
Aimee’s background is in civil engineering and elementary teaching. With Board & Brush, she can indulge her love for building, creativity, and teaching all in one place! Aimee has been married for 27 years to her wonderful husband, John, who was a tremendous help getting the studio started. Together, they have three delightful boys, Nate, Gabriel, and Matthew. John's mother, Ann, also lives with the family along with four cats and their lovable dog. The family loves to play all sorts of games, so game night at the house can get quite boisterous!

Board & Brush Aiken is located on Dougherty Rd, just past the red barn (McCurley Farms market) on the left of Silver Bluff Rd. towards Whiskey Rd, just past Scissors-N-Suds on the right.
