We are excited to announce that Board & Brush Charlotte, NC, is officially open! Please join us in welcoming owner Buffy Wilkey to the Board & Brush family. Buffy is bringing creativity, community, and hands-on DIY fun to the Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte.

Meet the Owner
Buffy Wilkey began her career as a Title I math teacher before becoming an Elementary Math Specialist, where she led professional learning for elementary math teachers across the country. After years in education, a new opportunity brought Buffy and her family to Charlotte when her husband, Ben, accepted a Corporate Treasurer role in the area.
The move opened the door to an exciting new chapter. Inspired by their daughter Madison’s experience working at the Board & Brush Flagship Studio in Wisconsin, the Wilkey family fell in love with the concept and the welcoming community it creates. Buffy’s passion for leading group workshops, combined with the creative energy of Board & Brush, made opening a studio in Charlotte feel like the perfect fit.
A Creative Family Adventure
Buffy and Ben, who married in July 2000, have two children. Madison shares Buffy’s creative spirit and is excited to help bring that energy into the Charlotte studio, while their son Jack is pursuing a career in finance.
The Wilkeys also have two Labrador retrievers, Percy and Westley, who are loving life in North Carolina and tagging along on family trips to the U.S. National Whitewater Center, one of Charlotte’s favorite outdoor destinations.

Board & Brush Charlotte is located in Plaza Midwood on the west side of Sugar Mill. To find the studio, enter through the double doors to the left of Royal Tot and head straight down the hall. Parking is available in the lot in front of the building as well as on the street.
