Easton is on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in Talbot County. It’s a beautiful small town that offers the best of many worlds: access to large metropolitan areas like Baltimore, Annapolis, Washington DC and Wilmington; casual and gourmet dining; shopping for all budgets; eclectic art galleries; several public golf courses; the Chesapeake Bay; a historic Town Center with Colonial and Victorian architecture. The town of Easton keeps it's quaint cultured appearance by requiring all commercial buildings to be made of brick. This is where you come to get a great crab dinner experience.

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Easton, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Easton Owners
Melessa Shiffer & DeDee Cole
Melessa’s degree and career has been in laboratory diagnostics as a lab tech and hospital manager. She resigned from Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics as a Clinical Trials Monitor to fulfill a dream to have her own business. She has loved crafts all her life; a love her mother gave her to make something beautiful from discarded unusable items. She is happily married to her husband, Jim for fourty-four years. They have two great children. Their daughter, DeDee is joining Melessa’s dream of this Board & Brush venture. Her life would not be complete without the companionship of a dog. Melessa serves on the Board of Directors of Greyhound Pet Adoptions of Delaware. She and her husband own three retired racers and love them dearly.
DeDee got her love of crafting starting with her grandmother and continued from her mom. After hearing about Board & Brush from a friend, DeDee convinced her mom that they should go into business together and open their own studio (it didn’t take much!). DeDee is married to her husband of twenty years, Jesse and they have one daughter, Erica. She and her husband also have a love of dogs and currently own several Rottweilers. She is a Physical Therapist Assistant and works at Shore Regional Health in Easton.

Board & Brush Easton, MD is located on the corner of Aurora and Magnolia streets in a large brick building. There is ample parking in lots across the street and adjacent to the studio.
