Meet Board & Brush Hiawatha Owners
Dana & Jeremy Rinkenberger
Together Jeremy and Dana ARE Board & Brush. Dana was an education major at the University of Northern Iowa and was able to teach art in a private Christian Academy. Jeremy has been in the construction industry for almost three decades, which included owning a framing company and for the last fifteen years building custom homes. Together Dana and Jeremy complete the building process by sharing creative collaboration and enjoy adding new trends to the custom homes. When Dana’s friend called from Indiana with her recent experience of visiting a Board & Brush, she knew immediately that this was going to be a perfect fit. As a busy family with three kids, needing a flexible schedule was key. They love what the Board & Brush brand represents. Creating a unique piece of custom art and sharing the experience with others, all while having fun! Dana was born and raised in the heart of Iowa, in Cedar Rapids. Jeremy moved to the area as a middle schooler. They use their love for houses and design to work in harmony and are so excited to share the Board & Brush experience with everyone. They love the Northern Boundary Waters, the salty water of the ocean and snow-capped mountains to ski. They have a twenty-year old daughter Riley, who is finishing her schooling at the AVEDA Institute. Their sixteen-year old son Bryce, loves golf, trap shooting and skiing. Their youngest child who keeps them laughing is twelve-year old Ali. She is involved with many sports, plays competitive softball and travels with her volleyball club team. If that wasn’t enough, the family has two fuzzy dogs…Chewie who is a ShihTzu and Norman, a Mini Golden Doodle. You can find Norman hanging out in the studio with Dana.
