Are you looking for a night out with friends? Is your inner DIY itching for a fun new project without having to buy all your own supplies and make a mess at your house? Then BOOK A WORKSHOP for the ultimate paint and sip experience at Board & Brush Creative Studio in Lenexa.
Lenexa is one of the many cities making up the Kansas City Metropolitan area which includes Overland Park, Shawnee, and Olathe and has so much to offer! From shopping at Oak Park Mall or IKEA, to trying out many different restaurants and bars, or attending Sky Zone Trampoline Park or iFLY indoor skydiving! We are also a pretty close drive from Kansas City! A few things to do in KC are attending a Chiefs or Royals game, checking out one of the many museums including Union Station and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, or going to the very popular Country Club Plaza for shopping and food!
The Lenexa Studio is officially University of Kansas licensed, available for an additional cost of $10.
Board & Brush Lenexa is a BYOB establishment.

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Lenexa, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Lenexa Owners
Sara & Patrick Redlin
Sara & Patrick stay very busy with full time careers in addition to owning Board & Brush. Patrick is a first grade teacher and loves kids! Sara is a Physical Therapist and enjoys helping her patients regain their independence and get back to doing what they love! They are both very passionate about their careers and love that they can continue that while owning Board & Brush!
They fell in love with woodworking and saw Board & Brush as a fun way to work with family & friends as well as help customers learn about the craft of woodworking and DIY projects. They really enjoy seeing and hearing customers get so excited after they finish creating their own projects themselves.
Sara & Patrick made Board & Brush a family affair! Patrick’s twin brother Matt, mom Tami and her husband Chris; as well as Sara’s mom and dad, Sandy and Chris, ALL work at Board & Brush Lenexa! Family is very important to them and they love that they all get to work and spend time together.
