DIY Wood Sign & Wood Project Workshop!
Are you looking for a night out with friends? Is your inner DIY itching for a fun new project without having to buy all your own supplies and make a mess at your house? Then BOOK A WORKSHOP for the ultimate paint and sip experience at Board & Brush Creative Studio in Parker.
Parker is a growing town just outside of Denver. The scenic town is known for being family-oriented and a great place to raise kids. Parker is filled with small boutiques and family-run restaurants including The Honey Baked Ham Company, Wrought’n Apples Boutique and Gifts, Dolphinz Swim School, Downhill Brewing, and Little Monkey Bizness. It is only about an hour drive to the mountains, a thirty-minute drive to Denver’s city life, and about twenty minutes from Colorado’s large reservoirs where people enjoy the cool water in the hot summers. Every summer is there’s a festival called Parker Days where friends, family, and neighbors enjoy carnival rides, great food, and amazing entertainment.
Board & Brush Parker is a licensed establishment.
Beer and wine are available for purchase in the studio.

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Parker, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Parker Owner
Missi Hackman & Lindsay Newsom
Missi Hackman and Lindsay Newsom are a mom/daughter duo who have both always loved crafting. They have spent more hours creating and decorating their homes with DIY projects than they can count!
Missi has been married to her high school sweetheart, Al, for 35+ years. Together they raised their son; Shawn and daughter; Lindsay. Her favorite memories are of the people she met and relationships she has built over the years working in healthcare, volunteering for the numerous activities her kids were involved in and her church family. Missi and Al enjoy traveling, beach time, spending time with family and rooting on the local sports teams.
Lindsay has been married to Jeff since 2014 and together they have the sweetest little boy, Everett, and a little Yorkie, Dexter. Lindsay is a graduate of CU Denver and has worked in sales and marketing. She is anxious to get out into the community to share the world of Board & Brush! Lindsay and Jeff enjoy camping, traveling, & finding new places for Sunday Fundays with their close group of friends and kiddos.
