Wappingers Falls, NY is a historic city located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, right along the Hudson River and about 70 miles north of New York City. It's a great place for fishing at Wappingers creek, apple picking at Meadowbrook Farm, catching a baseball game at Renegades Stadium, watching a show at County Players Falls Theater, or going on a hike at Bowdoin Park. Being just 20 minutes south of the Culinary Institute of America, delicious food is in abundance at restaurants like Aroma Osteria and Heritage Food and Drink. Near the Board & Brush studio, you’ll find great local places like Whiskey Jacks bar, Roma Deli, Falls Diner, Summerlin Wines & Spirits, Living the Dream Salon and Portofino Pizza & Pasta. Young families and new businesses continue to move to the region from Westchester and NYC, giving this suburb a new exciting vibe.

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Wappingers Falls, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Wappingers Falls Owners
Adrianna & Filippo Rigaglia
Adrianna and Phil Rigaglia are no strangers to the Wappingers Falls community; Adrianna is a local realtor with Century 21 Alliance Realty Group and Phil is the owner of Wappingers Auto Tech. Both were born and raised in New York and moved to the area in 2011. In their free time, they love to do DIY projects around the house, so when Adrianna came upon Board & Brush and introduced the idea to her husband, Phil, he instantly thought it would be a fantastic fit for them! Adrianna has always enjoyed decorating, party planning and designing. Phil is not only a talented mechanic, but he’s also great at building and bringing Adrianna's Pinterest finds to life. They immediately knew B&b would be an asset to their community and would be welcomed by many.
They've been married since 2014 and have 3 sons; twin boys, Dominic and Nicholas, and Christian. They also recently added a cavapoo puppy named Enzo to their family. Adrianna and Phil enjoy snowmobiling and entertaining in the summer around their pool.
