Highlands Ranch, CO is a 22,000-acre master-planned community founded in 1981, located about 12 miles south of Denver. It is a very family-centric town, with lots of outdoor activities throughout the year, including 70 miles of paved and natural trail. Beer and wine are available for purchase in the studio.

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Highlands Ranch, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Highlands Ranch Owners
Jenny & John Parks
Jenny and John Parks both started their careers in retail management. Jenny spent 21 years as a Manager for Babies R Us, but once it closed, she took a year off to enjoy the beauty of Colorado with her family. She found Board & Brush and instantly fell in love with the social and creative aspects of the workshops. Jenny has worked part-time at the Highlands Ranch studio for the last few years and just knew it was a perfect fit for their family. John has been in the Automotive Industry for the last 19 years. They both are very creative and enjoy doing updates on their home themselves.
John and Jenny met in 1997, finished college together and married in 2004. They have 3 amazing and creative kids; Paityn, Landon and Tyson. Both Jenny and John were born in Denver and love raising their kids in Colorado! As a family, they love walking, visiting Estes Park, and hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. They also enjoy going to the Denver Bronco games and watching the Denver Nuggets. The family also has 3 dogs, Jack, Gru and Sadie.

Board & Brush Highlands Ranch is located at the corner of West Highlands Ranch Parkway and Wildcat Reserve Parkway, in the same parking lot as King Soopers and right next door to Eileen‘s Cookies.
